Do I need a science (PCM/PCB) background to apply?

Accepted Answer

No. Bangladeshi students are not filtered by PCM or PCB stream rules. Your SSC, HSC or Diploma results are evaluated directly by the university, and your chosen course only needs to match the general subject background expected for that programme.

Question 2

Can I study MBBS in India through SIAC?

Accepted Answer

No. Every applicant to an Indian medical college — Indian or international — must qualify NEET, and SIAC does not process MBBS admissions in India. SIAC does support MBBS pathways in other countries, plus medical tourism services in India. Speak to a counsellor before making any plan around medicine.

I completed a diploma. Which year will I be admitted into?

Accepted Answer

Diploma holders in an engineering discipline can apply for lateral entry into the same discipline. The university reviews all of your semester marksheets, maps the credits, and then confirms the exact year of entry. Until credit mapping is complete, no entry year can be guaranteed.

Question 4

Some of my marksheets are missing. Can I still apply?

Accepted Answer

You can start the application with what you have, but the offer cannot be finalised without the complete set. Lateral entry in particular requires every diploma semester marksheet. If a document is lost, request a duplicate from your board or institution early — it is the most common cause of delay.

Question 5

Do I need IELTS to study abroad from Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

For most Indian partner universities, IELTS is not mandatory and an English-medium-of-instruction certificate is usually accepted. For Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia and the USA, requirements vary by country and university — some accept a waiver, others require a valid IELTS or equivalent score. Confirm with your counsellor for your specific destination.

Is there a study gap limit?

Reasonable study gaps are commonly accepted, but the acceptable length differs by destination and university, and some require gap justification documents such as job experience letters. Send your timeline to a counsellor and we will shortlist universities that accept your profile.

Question 7

Can I change my course or country after applying?

Accepted Answer

Yes, before the offer is accepted and fees are paid. Cross-country switches usually mean new eligibility rules, different document sets and different intake dates, so the application is re-assessed. Tell your counsellor as early as possible so the intake is not missed.

Question 8

Do all documents need to be in English?

Accepted Answer

Academic documents issued by Bangladeshi boards and universities are normally in English already. Anything issued in Bangla — such as certain birth certificates or affidavits — must be officially translated and notarised before submission.
